3. by the date of his birth 为时间状语，所以by短语表达一段时间，直译为 “截止到他出生这一段时间”， 但为了符合中文习惯，可近似译成“在他出生时”。

4. 介词短语“under the incentive of ...”修饰“creation of new forms”
